SCOTLAND  May 2005
25 - Arrived in Scotland, got the rental car, learned to drive stick lefty drove to St. andrew.. onthe way enocoutered a policeman for a detour.. only understood one world "LEFT" so we proceeded to st.a ndrews and onthe horizon we saw the top of the famous RED hotel that stands behind the 18th green and the white cone shpaed top.  Gooses bumps came over me as I knew that I was approaching this sacred town of the home of golf.
St. Andrews. Visited the Old course, had lunch at the Golf Place, went to the Golf Museum. Which was a disappointment. Settle in at the B&B. Took at Nap went out to eat dinner but all was closed and then went to Grocery store to get some salad and misc. food.
26 - Play the Old Course at St. Andrews.  The wind on the outgoing 9 was left to right. On the back nine right to left. Got at the Tee at 4:37 to be the first online. Got off at 7:30 after the first 3some, decided not to have a single join them.
Shot 87 with 7 3-putts. NO feel for the greens on putting and chipping. Never in a Bunker. Hit the roofs of the sheds off of 17 but luckily found my ball in the right rough. Fantastic Tee shots all day. Caddie = Steve Jones.
27- Carnoustie - Checked out of St. Andrews. Caddie Ewen Rose. Shot 89. Rain/Wind/cold all elements.
Drive to Inverness. Stop in Dundee for Lunch. Charming City.
28 - Inverness. Cawdor Castle, another little castle. Fort George. Cold as hell. Dallas Dhu distillery. Lunch in Forres in a tea place. Looking for Lunch in Nairn, nothing found.
Inverness at nite for food at a diner. Walk around central Inverness, pictures of the Inverness Castle and River Ness, raining always.
29- Drive to Loch Ness. Durkuart Castle. Ft. William for lunch, onto Oban. Saw Stalker Castle.  In OBAN saw Durquatght Castle. Drove to Edinburgh. Saw Doune Castle. Got in Edinburgh at Stewart’s B&B at Night.
30 - Went to play KINGSBARNS then after explored Edinbur
gh.  Went to Edinburgh for Dinner and then Ghost and Ghouls Tour and the City of the Dead walking tour of the Greyfriars Cemetary and to the Covenantors Prison for the McKenzie poltergeist. Black Mouseleum. Vaults. Ghosts. Walked home from Edinburgh
31- Edinburgh Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle. Walking around Edinburgh down to Holyrood Palace and then to Princess Street. Return car in the morning take bus to city center.
June 1 - Left Edinburgh using cab.
